About the Michigan Coblers

Becky and Larry live in the wonderful Dexter, Michigan community just West of Ann Arbor. We have lived in our current house longer than any other house (since September 1995). Larry has been President of the Dexter Community Schools Board of Education since 2004 and has worked at Altarum Instutute since moving to Dexter in 1995.

Becky has the perfect job – being essential, but not too essential – at Enlighten. This paradoxical relationship lets her travel to see the children (Jon, Dave, and Erin) pretty much whenever she wants. The kids (not so much kids any more) are all married.

Jon now lives in Olympia, Washington and is a pastor at the Living Water Foursquare Church. He married (August 1997) to one of our two perfect daughters-in-law, Fawn, and they have four children: Sam, Andrew, Levi and Cosette. Yes, that means we are grandparents.

Erin married Mike Penn in December 2005. Mike was in the Kansas City Royals farm system for four years. Two shoulder surgeries and luck of the drawn ended his professional career as a player last spring and now he coaches baseball at his Alma Mater, University of Michigan.  Erin also graduated from University of Michigan in December 2006 with a degree in history, and, after completing a wonderful volleyball career works as Director of Operations for All American Volleyball Camps. The recently bought their first home in Dexter, a 1836 pre-Civil War charmer with endless projects in the wings.

Dave is married to our other perfect daughter-in-law, Anya. They were married in December 2003 and live in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Dave sells annuity products to independent insurance agents and Anya recently graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan (April 2007). Dave also graduated from a Michigan school, Central Michigan University, in 2003.
